NOVEL The Kelt FRANK JAMES Dear reader, there are many heroes of the past who will remain unsung, mainly because history is selective and disregards any who have little written about them. Nonetheless some stand above the rest in the teeth of such indifference and their stance is as a beacon to a writer. Vercingetorix appears in Caesar's own writings in a simple but respectful notation, he was impressed! So am I. I hope that in this new age we are turning back to what constitutes a real hero and are able to recognize courage and commitment as the values we have previously ignored. I have taken what little history has supplied and used an extended license to flesh out the long ago hero, Here then is a true hero, a man who was not afraid to be courageous and bold. I hope you enjoy him as much as I do. Frank James November 1, 2001 About the Author:
I was educated in the UK and perhaps that is why I have such a love of history. Although the dates and times of events have left me as cold as any student, the real life behind those dates attracted like a magnet. The answers we search for today can be found in the past, if only we ask the right questions. I enjoy searching for those questions as eagerly as others search for the answers. I write to please my own senses, as any artist at his canvas, I write to pique interest without bullying my point. I leave the reader to discern. F.
