Ye Olde Bucket of Bits and Flotsam

Bit bucket contains all sorts of things that just don't go anywhere else. Some of these bits are graphics that we couldn't part with, and other bits are stray and random thoughts. Isn't that boring or what?

I would like to list good and bad companies that I have done business with over the years. These are purely my opinions. If you have one you would like added here, please email me.

  • Good companies are ones who keep the customer first.

    • Total Repair Services Company in Florida does quality work for a fair price. Their warranty is unmatched.

    • Andy and Dave's Garage is completely honest, reliable, and outstanding mechanics to boot.

    • NetFlix.com is the Blockbuster of the Internet. We like them a lot.

    • ClickBank.com provides reliable, secure, and easy credit/debit card or PayPal services.

    • NLPD.com provides web hosting for the right price. They stand behind their services as well.

  • Bad companies violate that rule above about happy customers. Unfortunately, we remember the bad ones far better than the good ones.

    • O'Briens Rent All in Wheeling, West Virginia, treats both their customers and their employees very badly. They have no clear direction or purpose.

    • HyperMax in Indiana failed to put out a service bulletin that could have saved me $3200. Colonial Chevrolet in Norfolk, Virginia, couldn't keep pace with the required warranty work that they were supposed to do. In the end, they insisted the work wasn't covered by warranty. But it clearly was.

    • A pox on all credit bureaus! Dealing with them is like walking through quicksand.

    • AT&T Universal Card Services wants to charge 24% interest if you have any credit report problems. This applies even if you make every payment to them on time, every time. If I had not read the fine print, I wouldn't have seen that gotcha! I called them and canceled my account forthwith.

    • Fishermen's Hospital here in Marathon, Florida Keys, provides fantastic service and has wonderful people working there. Yet they charge exorbitant fees. It is like a thousand dollars to park in the parking lot, a thousand dollars to walk on the parking lot, a thousand dollars to walk into the emergency room, and a thousand dollars to use the restroom. I exaggerate, but not by much.

    • Yahoo.com has managed to ruin everything that they touch: GeoCities and WebRing to name only two.

    • AOL.com is an internet service provider with lots of people, but the blasted thing possesses your computer, life, and pocket book. Yuck on AOL.

    Our original banner.
Long ago, a fair lady at Cat's Banner Service made our very first banner, and this is it!

That's the list. I enjoyed it, did you? If you would like to sign our guestbook, click the milky way graphic above. You will get a free prize and an award, if you leave your email address as well as your web address. Yes, you must have a website to get the prize and award. :-)

38So they came to the house of the president of the synagogue, and Jesus noticed all the commotion, with people weeping and wailing unrestrainedly.39He went in and said to them, ‘Why all this commotion and crying? The child is not dead, but asleep.’40But they ridiculed him. So he turned them all out and, taking with him the child’s father and mother and his own companions, he went into the place where the child lay.41And taking the child by the hand he said to her, ‘Talitha kum!’ which means, ‘Little girl, I tell you to get up.’42The little girl got up at once and began to walk about, for she was twelve years old. At once they were overcome with astonishment,43and he gave them strict orders not to let anyone know about it, and told them to give her something to eat.
