Nearly all of L. E. Shaffer's literary works are affected by the pronouncements from the fabled and mythical Runes of Ao or sometimes called Runes of Kale. Some Kalian priests refer to these runes as race memory. The reason is that this ancient race kept their "bible" in race-memory form for eons before allowing the runes to be "written" to biological memory units (BMUs). By special permission of the Ky of Kale, Marc of Mar, our human team will be able to post the entire Runes of Ao here on these next twelve pages. The process will be a long, hard one as the interface between BMUs and our computer systems is tenuous at best. We are confident though that this scholarly posting will satisfy our insatiable curiosity of the Kalian religious strata.
