Runes of Ao/Kale
Book of the Gathering
The Book of the Gathering details all the ceremonies and celebrations of the
race of Kale. Most of their holy days center around the Family and Ao. There
are many listed that have to do with dreams, visions, and prophecies. The Ky of
Kale is involved in a great many events involving the race as a whole and their
love of Ao. This books is a good teaching tool for what it is like to be
Kalian, and how they think and act. The most interesting sections and chapters
are the ones telling of the special blessings bestowed on the animals. The
priesthood value this book, as it is their guide to all religious ceremonies
and celebrations. The hardest parts to understand are the scripts concerning
the Many. We believe the term means all of the race of Kale from the very first
one to all who will ever exist.

Sonesa 454
Sonesa is Kalian for race memory and used here like we use the
human word chapter.
On the second rising of the full moons, when they caress the peaks of
the Mountains of Ao, you shall partake of the thermal pools. Take your first
born and their cub-mate. Approach from the west of the following winds and above
the northern star. Stop at the grove to the thermal pools and close your eyes.
Whisper thoughts of prayers to ancestors and those to come. Take in the vapors
and let the visions begin. Follow your first born and the cub-mate into the
pools slowly. Open your eyes and study the ripples on mirrored calm. See the
broken images of the full moons and absorb the colors and the songs. Say your
prayers and love your first born and watch the cub-mate play.
Then move slowly, full of love and affection, to the center of the thermal pools.
Remember what was, be happy with what is, and yearn for what is to come. Pray to
Ao. Sing songs to Ab. Respect the solitude of Ob. Live this lifeform for the
moment. Now swim with your first born and the cub-mate matched since birth. Your
life partner now joins. The Family is most important. Let none put asunder what
Ao has joined. Celebrate this ceremony each solar cycle. Upon completion of the
ceremony, place flowers upon the stilled waters on yon grove. Only turn to go
when the wind bears east to the dissipating vapors of the thermal pools, the
heated waters of life, of renewal, and of sustenance.
