The Book of the Ky contains the many stories of all the Ky. Each Ky is a
legend and made great contributions to Kalian society. It is more interesting
to study the chapters devoted to the special relationship between the Ky, the
Many, the Gathering, the Council of Kale, and Ao. There are some chapters
detailing the different relationships enjoyed between the Ky and the
priesthood. The current Ky, Marc of Mar, even though only a child in Kalian
reckoning, has many chapters devoted to him already. The most interesting
chapters are those concerning Marc of Mar.
An open invitation is extended to any literary artist who would like to
help write the twelve books of the Runes of Ao/Kale. You would be credited for
any work but all creative property would be exclusively owned by Shaffer
Novels/Poetry Company. No one makes any money off this project as all the

Sonesa 41
Sonesa is Kalian for race memory and used here like we use
the human word chapter.
From the Plains of Mar, an ancient force ignites into an
inferno representing three new stars. A black panther cub wanders by
thermal pools stirring the steam in gentle, rippling waves. The moons rise
to their zenith in the night sky. A dome builds in the light. The cub is
drawn to a babies cry and then laughter. On this night across time
memorial the cub meets its bonding mate, its counterpart. Marc of Mar
beholds Panther and all the future is set. The one foretold from creation
waits on the day.
The Kalian child is nuzzled by his cub-mate. The love is never-ending
but formless like a void. Seventh Kale must nurture and guide the two
along the many paths. Yet only one path is chosen for the Many. Yet many
ways are presented with love. The child must leave so much behind for the
Many. The journey is not one made alone, but the spirit is lonely. Only a
Ky so young, innocent, and vulnerable can be the rock upon which all
creation must depend. Marc of Mar lives with Panther yearning for peace.
And a child shall lead them to a new age, to what is beyond life.
